Market Transformation
by Colne Life magazine
The transformation of Colne Market is set to start in January, which means it will stay open until Christmas. In the meantime, the former Poundland, which is in Hartley Square, is being adapted to create a temporary market hall, Shaw’s Greengrocers – VEG-IT and Michael’s Butchers & Farm Shop will move to Richmond’s Court opposite the Market and Granny’s Kitchen can now be found in The Fun House on Dockray Street.
Councillor Asjad Mahmood, Leader of Pendle Borough Council, said: “This means that traders can get ready for Christmas – one of their busiest times of the year!”
If any charities would like to stall at the Market in the run-up to the festive period to raise funds, please get in touch. Contact Steven Reed, Markets Manager, by emailing steven.reed@liberata.com
