by Colne Life magazine

THE GREAT BRITISH RHYTHM AND BLUES FESTIVAL IS UP FOR A LANCASHIRE TOURISM AWARD!

After a cracking lineup this year, the festival’s made it as a finalist in the Large Events category – second year running!

Now in its 33rd year, it’s known for bringing top British blues acts to Colne for a whirlwind weekend. With gigs happening all over town, it’s one of the best-value festivals in the UK and pulls in fans and musicians from across the world.

Winners get announced in spring and could even go through to the national Visit England Awards for Excellence.

The festival’s up against other big Lancs events: Fleetwood’s Affinity Summer of Fun, Blackpool Dance Festival, Lytham 1940s Weekend, Blackburn’s National Festival of Making, and the Santa Specials at East Lancashire Railway in Rawtenstall. Winners get announced in spring and could even go through to the national Visit England Awards for Excellence. Big congrats to The Great British Rhythm and Blues Festival!
