Discover all that this lovely venue has to offer.

Located in the heart of the village, The Trawden Arms Community Pub is a hub of heartfelt hospitality, where good food, friendly faces, and feel-good events are always on the menu. Since taking over in January 2023, landlord Jamie and his wife Sammy-Jo have poured their hearts into creating a warm, welcoming space that truly brings the community together.

Jamie’s team is known for exceptional service and a friendly, easygoing atmosphere — the kind that turns first-time visitors into regulars. Behind the bar, things get serious (in the best possible way), with 18 draught choices, including five cask ales and 13 lagers and ciders. There’s even a gluten-free option and a non-alcoholic pour, so no one’s left out of the round.

“OUR FOOD IS ABOUT TASTE, QUALITY, AND VALUE.”

“We offer a variety of different menus to cater to all tastes, including vegetarian options,” says Jamie. “The main menu serves up traditional pub favourites with generous portions and top-quality ingredients, with lighter options perfect for smaller appetites at lunchtime. “We even have a takeaway pizza night every Monday!” But if you’re treating yourself to something special, the chefs — Kegan, Mick, and Riley — draw on 60 years of combined experience to craft a regularly updated specials menu, showcasing gastro-style dishes that are big on flavour and creativity. “We’re proud of our menus,” Jamie adds. “We always try our best to source produce locally when we can — Our food is about taste, quality, and value.”

With Christmas just around the corner, Jamie shares, “We’re excited and ready to welcome festive bookings.”

Their delicious three-course seasonal menu, packed with festive cheer, launches on December 1st.

But you don’t need to wait until December to join the fun. Entertainment is a key part of The Trawden Arms experience — from Monday quiz nights to live music every second Saturday, there’s always something happening. “The pub hosts charity events all year round,” Jamie explains, “and since 2023 we’ve raised over £15,000 for local causes.”

Looking ahead, the second Annual Music and Beer Festival returns from 5th–7th September — three days of beer, food, and music, all in support of Rossendale & Pendle Mountain Rescue. And on October 4th, the pub will be hosting a Family Fun Day in aid of the East Lancashire Down Syndrome Support Group.

Guests can also enjoy four comfortable en-suite B&B rooms, a family-friendly atmosphere with a children’s play area, wheelchair access, ample parking, and a warm welcome for well-behaved dogs. The Trawden Arms serves up good food, good times, and a comfy bed.

Throughout October, you can also enjoy 20% off your food bill on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Making it the perfect opportunity to visit, enjoy a meal, and discover all that this lovely venue has to offer.
