Fundraising event to benefit Positive Action in the Community on November 1st at Crow Wood Hotel and Spa, Burnley

On November 1st, successful Lancashire businesses will gather at Crow Wood Hotel and Spa to raise awareness and generate essential funds for Positive Action in the Community (PAC), an impactful local charity that tackles Youth Homelessness, Domestic Abuse and Poor Mental Health. PAC has announced that JaRo HR will play a lead role in the event as their Headline Sponsor.

Leroy Philbrook, the Community and Partnership officer from PAC, noted, “JaRo HR’s sponsorship is key to making the ball a success. Not only is the sponsorship contributing to the cost of the event, increasing fundraising potential, having JaRo HR on board helps to raise the profile of the event within the business community.”

PAC’s last fundraising ball was in 2022 when more than 150 local businesspeople gathered to help raise money to support those that benefit from PAC’s projects and services. Tickets for the 2024 PAC Charity Ball are on sale now for the November 1st event, which this year is being held at the 5-star Crow Wood Hotel and Spa in Burnley. Tickets for the PAC Charity Ball are £65 or £600 for a table of 10. To book your tickets, please get in touch with Leroy Philbrook or visit https://www.p-a-c.org.uk/charity-fundraiser/

Micky Marsden, Director of JaRo HR, indicated, “We are excited about being the Headline Sponsor for the PAC Charity Ball. We believe in PAC’s mission and know how impactful they are as a charity in the local community. Here at JaRo HR, we are strong believers that businesses should give back to strengthen the community they live and work in, and we are proud to be doing our part to support Positive Action in the Community.”

JaRo HR provides comprehensive HR support to businesses of all sizes across Lancashire, covering everything from recruitment and onboarding to employee relations, training and development, and compliance. Their team of experienced HR professionals are committed to empowering businesses to build strong, engaged teams and create positive workplace cultures.

2024 is the first year this event will be held at Crow Wood, and Elise Ryan, from the Hotel and Spa, confirmed, “We are thrilled that Crow Wood is proudly hosting Positive Action in the Community’s charity ball this November. We extend our gratitude to the team for choosing us as their venue for this important event. With our commitment to excellence in both service and catering, we aim to provide an unforgettable experience, setting the stage for an evening of generosity, unity, and positive action.”

The money raised at the PAC Charity Ball will go to support the charity’s ongoing projects, including SafeSpace (Supported accommodation for homeless young people), HAPI (Homelessness Awareness and Prevention Interventions), Be Free (community-based support and safe houses for those affected by domestic abuse), and Evolve (providing a range of early intervention and community projects to improve people’s wellbeing, including youth work, professional counselling, training, and employment support).

Claire Bennett, CEO of PAC, indicated, “The PAC Charity Ball is about bringing business and the public together for an entertaining evening but with a focus on giving back to the local East Lancashire community by raising money to help some of the most vulnerable people in our society, people whose suffering is often overlooked or unnoticed despite its widespread reach. Our last Ball in 2022 raised over £6,000, and with the support of the public and local businesses, I believe we can raise even more this year to help with the rising demand and costs of the life-changing support that PAC delivers.”
