When the curtains came down on a tremendously successful 2022 Great British R&B Festival in Bonnie Colne upon the hill, attention immediately turned to this year’s festival, with the aim to go even bigger and better. Last year saw record ticket and camping sales, with over 35,000 people visiting Colne over the August Bank Holiday weekend.

This time out, event organisers Colne Town Council in partnership with Colne Blues Society, have announced a spectacular line-up showcasing the best music on the blues scene in the UK. Headlining the 2023 festival, which takes place from Friday, 25th August – Sunday 27th August, will be award-winning, genre-defying singer-songwriter Elles Bailey, who left the recent UK Blues Awards with three accolades to her name.

A real star! Elles, who is headlining the Sunday night at the Pendle Hippodrome, will be joined by fellow headliners Aynsley Lister, one of the hottest contemporary blues guitarists and considered to be amongst the best in the world. Colne Blues Society, who are programming the festival in 2023 and 2024, have also showcased quality local talent in their exciting lineup, including J-Bear and The Giants, The Imperials and more! Alongside the Hippodrome, the 2023 festival, sponsored by Barnfield Construction Ltd, welcomes a brand new stage… The Exchange Project Stage, for what is going to be a fantastic weekend packed full of excellent live music, family fun entertainment, food, drink and good times across the town.
