COLNE GRAND PRIX CYCLE RACE
Colne Town Centre ColneThe race is part of the British Cycling Elite National Circuit Series and takes place on a closed-road 800m circuit around Colne’s one-way system, making for a fast, exciting spectacle. As a round of the National Elite Series, the top riders in the country take part. It is wonderful to see so many people here in Colne enjoying the thrilling cycle racing in the centre of town each year.
Colne Food and Drink Festival

There will be 50 artisan market stalls from across the county, entertainment, craft area for children, man vs food competitions, cookery demonstrations. Fun day out.
GHOST HUNT
Colne Town Centre ColneBuilt in 1894 as a meeting place for the town council. This is a very creepy place at night where the sound of screaming has been heard and ringing noises that sound like a servant’s bell. People have noticed things move behind them and seen figures going up and down the stairs. In the basement, the door to the old building attendant’s apartment has been seen to close on its own, giving people a chilling feeling that they are not welcome there.

VOLUNTEERING SATURDAYS – DRY STONE WALLING
Harwes Farm FoulridgeDry stone walling is a heritage craft, and here you will get a chance to learn "how to” and practice on a real wall (which is the real learning according to our oversight: walling master Mr Andy Lawson). Volunteering Saturdays are about everyone getting the chance to get out into the local countryside to volunteer for wellbeing! A packed lunch is required.

There are guided tours which explain the history of the mill and the museum, and they aim to answer as many of your questions as they can. On Steaming Days, the café offers hot and cold drinks, cakes, and free parking.

FESTIVAL OF CULTURE 2024
NelsonA major annual event celebrating art and culture. A family fun-day which will celebrate people, environment and culture through music, arts and crafts, food stalls, fun fair rides, community conversations and much more.
THE PENDLE PEACE WALK
Colne & NelsonThe Pendle Peace Walk brings people together from different towns, faiths, cultures and social statuses to walk together in a show of solidarity and unity as citizens of Pendle. This involves two groups of people from our Pendle community who will follow routes along main roads and scenic countryside paths. One group is set off from Colne Town Centre, and the second group is from a central base in Brierfield. Both Peace Walk groups will converge at the Nelson Shuttle, marking the beginning of the Festival of Culture.
COLNE SUPER SOAPBOX CHALLENGE
First cart is released from the top of the 4-metre-high ramp by a mystery guest at 11 am. It’ll be another great day out for all the family with continual commentary and all the action visible on large format screens again. In addition to the races, there will be the Artisan Fair, the funfair, and live music, making it another great, fun-packed family day out.
