Marsden Building Society to host ISA events across its Lancashire branches
by Karen Shaw
Marsden Building Society will host a series of free in-branch ISA information events from 23 March until 17 April, giving customers the opportunity to learn more about their tax‑free savings options.
The ISA information events, which are open to everyone, will be held at all the Society’s branches located across Lancashire during normal opening hours. Marsden has branches in Nelson, Burnley, Barrowford, Colne, Clitheroe, Garstang, Lytham and Poulton.
During the event, visitors can learn more about tax-free savings accounts, make the most of their ISA allowance, and prepare for ISA rule changes set to arrive in 2027.
“it’s more important than ever for savers to understand their options.”
From 06 April 2027, the government will introduce an age‑based system that’ll reshape how many people save into Cash ISAs. Savers under 65 will continue to have a £20,000 total ISA allowance, but only £12,000 of this can be deposited into a Cash ISA. The remaining £8,000 must be saved in an investment‑based ISA. Savers aged 65 and over will retain the option to deposit the full £20,000 into a Cash ISA.
The government has introduced these measures to encourage greater investment among working‑age savers. As a result, many people may need to reconsider their ISA savings from 2027 onwards.
Katy Leach, Head of Savings at Marsden Building Society, said: “ISAs remain one of the most popular ways to save tax‑free, but we know that the rules often feel overwhelming. With significant changes coming into effect in 2027, it’s more important than ever for savers to understand their options. Our ISA information events are designed to give people the clarity and confidence they need to plan for the future and make the most of the allowances available to them.”
